What Is a Non-Woven Bag and Why Is It So Common?

A non-woven bag is sewn from a fabric made by bonding polypropylene fibers together with heat, without weaving. In the industry the same material is also called spunbond; the names describe the same product. Its light weight, wide color range and reasonable unit cost make the printed non-woven bag one of the most widely distributed promotional bags at trade shows, supermarket checkouts and campaign stands.

Grocery and shopping types

In a laminated non-woven bag a thin film layer is applied over the non-woven body. The category includes single and double laminated models, models with a base board, metallic bases and coated surfaces. Boutique stores and cosmetics brands turn to these models when they want a more refined but still economical option than a plain non-woven bag.

Logo Application on Printed Non-Woven Bags

• Screen printing: The most common method on non-woven bags. It balances the cost for logos with one or few colors and for high quantities.
• Digital heat transfer: Suited to gradient, photographic or multicolor designs and to small-quantity orders.

Body Color and Contrast

The strength of the non-woven bag is its color range: many body colors are available, such as black, white, red, navy, royal blue and orange, and on some models the palette is wider still. In a crowded space the bag is noticed in a few seconds of glancing, so a body close to your brand color with a contrasting print color such as white or black gives the best result. Non-Woven, Cotton or Polyester?

If you want to reach many people in a short time, the non-woven bag is a budget-efficient choice. If you want the recipient to use the bag for a long time, a printed cotton tote bag or a canvas tote bag leaves a more lasting impression. For those who want a light but woven fabric, polyester and RPET bags are a middle way. The unit price changes with quantity tiers; the current tiers, including the minimum quantity, are given in the price table on the product page. After the quote is approved, we show the body and print color as a digital preview; when the preview is approved, the exact delivery date is shared. If you will distribute at a trade show or to branches, we can prepare the bags in separate cartons for each point.
